Study
I began studying my certificate in 2016 at the Photographic Imaging College (PIC) which is a creative extension of the Northern College of the Arts and Technology (NCAT) located in Preston, Melbourne.
The certificate year was all about being introduced to everything photography.
This included shooting on both digital and analogue cameras, processing analogue film and prints, editing and printing digital photos with programs such as Lightroom and Photoshop as well as using various industry standard photographic equipment for planned shoots.
I remember staying late after class editing photos because I loved that I knew how to edit them and the process it took to create my ideal final product. My photographic skills and knowledge were vastly expanded studying the certificate course and my self-confidence flourished. I became more confident in my creative visions, decisions, processes and how to use my DSLR to suit different photographic environments.

In 2017 I had re-enrolled at PIC to study the diploma course and I was so ready for what this year was going to offer!

The diploma would entail

-collaboration with other photographers/models/stylists
-establishing industry networks & connections
-use of artificial & natural light
-refining digital & analogue editing processes and techniques
-researching & identifying photographic trends
-providing portrait, commercial and stock photo services
-planning/organising on location shoots
The diploma year was all about getting out into the working and professional environment with our arsenal of photog skills and knowledge. It was time to push my creative boundaries to produce a professional and
The diploma year was the year for me to explore my photographic ideas and refine them into what I imagined them to be. With all the core skills learnt in 2016 it was time to put them to use and to push the boundaries with what images I could produce for an extremely strong, variable and artistic end of year folio. My end of year folio was a perfect representation of my taste and style as well as demonstrating refined photographic and editing skills.
